A few delicious tweaks to our Prix Fixe menu...

Our much-loved 2 courses for £19.50 just got even better.

Chef Scott has brought back a little bowl of comfort in the form of his Smoked Ox Cheek Ragu - slow-cooked ox cheek, gently smoked for extra depth, then simmered until meltingly tender in a rich, deeply flavoured sauce.

Served with perfectly cooked pasta and finished with a generous sprinkling of Parmesan, it's the kind of dish that makes you want to linger a little longer at the table.

Join us for lunch or an early supper and discover what's new.

Sunday Session is Here Again at Scott’s Brasserie 🦪🍹🍖

Sundays are made for lingering lunches, great company, and a little indulgence. Join us for another glorious Sunday Session, where the oysters are flowing, the Bloody Marys are perfectly spiced, and our generous sharing roasts take centre stage.

Alongside the classics, you'll always find something special on the menu - this week, a beautifully prepared Welsh Lamb Rack, served in a rustic French-Gallic style that feels just right for the season.

Think succulent lamb cutlets, expertly trimmed and cooked until blushingly pink, with a delicate crust that gives way to tender, juicy meat. Rich, sweet flavours from the Welsh pasture are elevated with fragrant herbs, garlic and a touch of French countryside charm, making every bite deeply satisfying.

Whether you're sharing a feast with friends or settling in for a long, lazy afternoon, Sunday's never tasted so good.

Summer dining has officially landed at Scott’s Brasserie.

Our new Prix Fixe menu is now available with 2 courses for just £19.50, bringing together some proper brasserie favourites alongside a few sunshine-ready specials.

Start things off with Cornish calamari & aioli, grilled goats cheese with beetroot & walnut salad or sizzling tiger prawns with garlic, chilli & parsley. Then move onto the likes of Cornish monkfish vadouvan curry, moules frites, grilled tuna steak Niçoise or our SB cheeseburger with house frites.

And yes, there are oysters, confit garlic baguettes and Padrón peppers available if you’re feeling particularly continental.

Perfect for long lunches, early evening dinners and pretending you’re somewhere on the French coast rather than Essex.

Available now at Scott’s Brasserie.

if you haven’t yet tried Scott’s Chicken Escalope with Caesar dressing, you’re seriously missing a trick.

The chicken is so succulent we’ve often wondered whether Scott has some secret technique up his sleeve… brining, special seasoning, water-bath wizardry perhaps?

But no - it simply comes down to using very, very good ingredients and letting them speak for themselves.

The best part? You can enjoy it tonight on our set menu with two courses for just £19.50.

Why not pop in and treat yourself this evening? 🍷

At Scott's Brasserie we’re always happy to go a little off-piste.

If you ever fancy something beyond the menu, it always pays to have a chat with front of house and see what Chef’s got going on behind the scenes.

The other night, these chaps came in and asked a very simple question: "What’s the biggest steak you can do?”

Naturally… we obliged. 🥩🔥

Sometimes the best things we serve aren’t written down.

There’s something wonderfully French about taking flavours from across the world and quietly turning them into bistro comfort food.

Our new Monkfish Vadouvan Curry does exactly that.

Vadouvan is often described as the French cousin of curry powder - originally inspired by Indian spice blends during France’s colonial presence in Pondicherry, before evolving into a softer, more aromatic seasoning with notes of shallot, garlic and gentle warmth.

We’ve paired it with roasted monkfish, fragrant coconut curry sauce and seasonal greens for a dish that feels rich, elegant and just the right side of indulgent.

Even better?

It’s currently available on our Prix Fixe Menu for just £19.50 for two courses.

Now that’s very good taste - in every sense.

New on the dessert menu: Crème Caramel.

Silky cream custard with just the right touch of bitterness to keep everything beautifully balanced - rich, smooth and not overly sweet. Served with a side of seriously boozy prunes for an extra indulgent finish.

A proper grown-up dessert and one to try at today's Sunday Session.

At Scott's Brasserie, confit duck isn’t dressed up or distracted. Chef’s serving it the classic Dordogne way - pressed, crisp, rich and beautifully unadulterated.

Now featured on the Prix Fixe menu, this is proper French comfort food with all the crackling texture and deep flavour you’d hope for from a true duck confit.

No reinvention. No fuss.

Why not try this dish tonight?

The wait is over… our legendary confit garlic & anchovy flatbread is BACK on the menu at Scott's Brasserie.

Rich, indulgent and outrageously delicious, this is the kind of dish that turns heads the moment it lands on the table. Sweet confit garlic, salty anchovies and all the right crispy, fluffy textures - it really is a thing of wonder.

Order one to share… if you’re feeling generous. Or keep the whole thing to yourself - we wouldn’t blame you.

Scott’s Brasserie is back open - and if you still haven’t booked a table, this is your sign. ✨

One bite of Chef’s canelé and you’ll understand why people keep talking about it. Crisp, dark caramelised shell. Soft, custardy centre. A French classic that takes serious skill to get right.

Made the traditional way - right down to the beeswax-lined moulds - and served warm with vanilla ice cream and brandied plum.

And for those who really know how to finish a dessert properly? Add a glass of Poire Williams. 🍐

Getting ready for another busy week at Scott's Brasserie - and if there’s one dish we’d recommend booking a table for, it’s our Bistro Rump Steak.

Known as the butcher’s cut, rump is packed with deep, rich flavour and just the right balance of tenderness and bite. It’s the steak chefs and butchers often keep for themselves - and once you’ve tried it, you’ll understand why.

Perfectly cooked, full of character, and best enjoyed with a glass of red and good company.

Join us this week and see what all the fuss is about. 🥩🍷

As the weather does its usual British trick of changing its mind every five minutes, some proper French classics are making their return to Scott’s Brasserie this week.

French onion soup is back. Confit duck is returning to the kitchen. Fresh sourdough baguettes and bread are being baked in-house again. Plus next week we’ll be introducing a beautiful Vadouvan curry to the menu.

Better still, these French classics are featuring on our Prix Fixe menu - 2 courses for £19.50.

We’re also launching a run of £10 lunch specials including jambon beurre and frites, croque monsieur and merguez sausage baguettes.

A little more Parisian comfort food for Essex… although we’re fairly sure we’ll all be back eating in the sunshine again before long 🌞

🔥 Sundays at Scott's Brasserie are nearly back in full swing… and without blowing our own trumpets too much… you really won’t find a Sunday roast quite like ours anywhere else.

Slow-roasted meats, proper crispy potatoes, giant Yorkies, rich gravy poured generously - and the must-try dish this Sunday is our incredible smoked lamb. Smoky, tender, packed with flavour, and cooked exactly the way a Sunday roast should be.

The Sunday Session is underway soon, so round up the family, bring your appetite, and settle in for the kind of roast worth planning your weekend around. 🍷🔥

A dessert that’s quietly becoming a signature at Scott’s… 🇫🇷

Originating from Bordeaux, the classic canelé is famed for its deeply caramelised crust and soft, delicate centre - beautifully simple in appearance, yet notoriously difficult to perfect.

Chef’s version stays true to tradition, even lining each mould with beeswax to create that unmistakable texture and finish.

Served warm with vanilla ice cream and brandied plum, it’s indulgent enough on its own… but it’s the optional pairing of Poire Williams that’s really turning heads. ✨

Reserve your table and discover what everyone’s talking about before the last spoonful disappears. 🍨🥃

There are few dishes more timeless than Moules Frites 🇫🇷🍟

A true European classic, this iconic pairing of fresh mussels and golden fries first became popular in Belgium and Northern France in the 18th century - loved for its simplicity, comfort, and unbeatable flavour.

At Scott’s Brasserie, our Moules Frites are part of our Prix Fixe menu - 2 courses for just £19.50 - bringing a little continental tradition to your table right here in Essex.

We’re proud to source our seafood and fish from local supplier Fishy Business, ensuring the freshest quality in every dish.

Classic, comforting, and best enjoyed with good company 🍽️

Sundays are made for slowing down… and finishing well 🍷

At Scott’s Brasserie, we recommend ending your meal with something truly special - the Louis Roque La Vieille Prune Reserve, from the chef’s own personal collection.

A beautifully aged French plum brandy, it’s rich, smooth, and full of character. Expect deep notes of stewed plum, caramel sweetness, and a gentle hint of vanilla with a warm, spiced finish - the perfect digestif to round off your Sunday.

Take your time. Savour the moment.
