Another new addition to our roster of New World super-talented winemakers, Ben Haines cut his teeth at the acclaimed Mount Langi Ghiran winery before establishing his own operation on the outskirts of Melbourne. Ben Haines owns a couple of well-sited hectares of Pinot in the Yarra Valley, and works with like-minded growers to source ‘quality grapes from cool, expressive places that will largely speak for themselves given the opportunity.’ Ben’s extensive range is split into three tiers from the superb value “everyday series” through the Colour Block trio (Chardonnay, Pinot and Syrah), to the single-vineyard Design Series. Across the board, the wines undergo a minimum of handling. The majority are raised in used puncheons; they receive a small dose of SO2 at bottling and are un-fined and unfiltered. The watchwords here are expressiveness, purity and accessibility, though the Design Series in particular delivers real complexity and the capacity for ageing. We regard Ben as one of Australia’s most exciting young winemakers, and are thrilled to represent him in the UK on an exclusive basis.

We’re delighted to welcome Magna Montis to the Flint portfolio, a new and exclusive supplier showcasing the very best of contemporary Argentinian winemaking. magnamontis is the brainchild of Martin Dicuzzo, who sources fruit from growers in Tupungato who share his commitment to quality. Martin’s objective is to make elegant, supremely drinkable wines that cast a spotlight on terroir. The great-value “regional” and Uco Valley malbecs are raised exclusively in concrete vats, while Machinte (a multi-layered, mineral wine from two low-yielding plots with complex alluvial soils) is aged in a combination of concrete eggs and used oak. All three wines are fermented with around 20% whole bunches for extra lift and definition. Completing the range is Tintas, a blend in which a judicious 8% cab franc really makes its presence felt.
After a long wait, the wines have finally landed in the UK and are now available to order.

We are excited to announce that after a long-standing relationship with top Grand Cru producer Domaine des Lambrays, we have been appointed as their key partner in the UK market.
Since Jacques Devauges joined the estate in early 2019, we have seen the Domaine reach a new level, producing wines of great complexity and quality. His embracing of the 'parcellaire' character of the Clos is especially exciting and is a wonderfully reverential nod to its historical roots.
It feels like the re-awakening of a viticultural giant, and we could not be more delighted to have been chosen for this wonderful partnership.
The wines will be released En Primeur on March 18th and available for shipping in the Autumn.

What an exciting day as our trade tour begins! We kick started this morning with the team who tasted this beautiful range of Piedmont reds. Among the reds Valentina (of Elvio Cogno) poured their a white grape variety indigenous to Langhe - a racy number with herb and mineral notes 👌😋

Reducing dosage, blending high-acid reserve wines, and developing new hybrids are among the tactics to maintain freshness

We are very proud to work with these two ambitious winemakers from Gevrey-Chambertin
▪️Charles Magnien is the young man making waves up in his new cuverie at the top of the village. With 6 hectares of vines only, including various village plots, 4 premiers crus and an excellent parcel of the wonderful Grand Cru that is Ruchottes-Chambertin, the potential of this domaine is huge!
▪️Pierre Duroché runs one of the most sought after estates in the Côte de Nuits. The purity of fruit we fell in love with back in 2009 remains and with the recent construction of a significant extension to his cuverie, Pierre will have much more space in which to work his magic!
