🎀 ANNOUNCEMENT 🎀
2008 - 2020
We have decided not to re-open our much loved J+A Café and Bar this September after 5 months of forced closure.
We have been fortunate that the business we built has been enjoyed by so many and for so long. Our initial concept to comfort and nourish with simple home cooking and baking in a beautiful setting went beyond our imagination. We have gained so much joy in seeing our Café filled to the brim every day of the week throughout the seasons and we couldn’t be prouder of what it had become.
It now feels like the most natural time for us to make this choice after 12 great years. Whilst we will grieve the beautiful atmosphere and camaraderie of the Café, we are excited to pursue our other dreams which have been on the back burner for longer than intended.
Thank you to all our loyal customers who have experienced comfort and joy in our ethos, we will remember each one of you fondly, whether it be a Chicken Soup, Chocolate Guinness Cake or freshly baked Soda Bread we know who you are. And of course so many wonderful celebrations and parties that we have loved hosting.
Thank you to all teams of staff whom we simply could not have built such a well oiled machine without. Especially those who have stayed with us for so long. Thank you to our suppliers who have all supported our continuous growth and demands since 2008.
We know the Café holds dear memories for many and that there will be much disappointment on hearing this news…
“all good things must come to an end”
With Love
Johanna and Aoife x
While J+A Café now ceases to trade our other businesses J+A Studio, The Mixed Case and De Leadús Ltd will continue to operate.
