Come and make one of our favourite dishes from the Together in Bloom menu with Chef Jiwan.
This collaboration started with a walk, where the Babur team spent a morning in the gardens with Errol Fernandes, the Horniman's Head of Horticulture, admiring their incredible herb garden. This led to a desire to mix these herbs with Babur's spice cabinet, which is imported directly from India, and to create a special menu around that.
One of the dishes that was born is this, a beetroot and goat's cheese kofte with a spinach and basil sauce, classic flavours given a magical reinvention into something incredibly delicious. Roasted beetroot and goat's cheese, baby spinach, garlic and basil, and a spiced crisp on top for extra crunch (because we love to balance our textures).
Two south-east London institutions, 41 years and 125 years between them, on one very exciting menu.
Together In Bloom is with us until 20 September, so book now to secure you don't miss out (link in bio).

Every great meal deserves a great ending, and at Babur that ending belongs to Chef Kuldeep. Our pastry chef has been with us for over five years, working closely with Chef Jiwan to build a dessert menu that celebrates the best ingredients and takes inspiration from the wider world of pastry. Here he is, in his own words, on what makes Babur so special.
