The post we never wanted to... post...
Beth and I (Gavin), are devastated to announce that Ginger Bees Café will be permanently closing down. 😢
There’s no way to not sound super soppy, but it has truly been an honour to serve this community and be a small part of your lives. Getting to know you guys; becoming friends 😳 , watching your babies grow. Having a baby of our own. Being a safe space for you to come and unwind. Celebrating good news with you, as well as being shoulder for you to lean on when times are hard.
So thank you. Thank you all for being the best customers we could ever wish for. Especially thanks for supporting us through the harsh, wet winters, through covid, through all the tough times.
Thank you to all the staff members we’ve worked with over the years. We’ve been incredibly lucky to have you on our team. A massive, HUGE thank you to Dolly and Robyn, who this will affect just as much as us.
When we first started this venture, we had a very simple mission; to create an environment where everybody feels welcome, a ‘home away from home’. And we feel a sense of pride that we were able to achieve our goal.
We will miss you all. Keep your eyes peeled to see where/ when Ginger Bees will come back.
Be careful who you trust.
Above all, look after yourself, your family’s and this amazing community.
Gavin & Beth

LAST WEEKEND OF THE YEAR!!!
And just like that, we’ve arrived at the final weekend of year. 2024 is (almost) done.
It’s been alright.
It’s been nice getting to know some of you better.
Was pretty cool befriending Francis (the duck).
It’s been amazing seeing your little ones grow.
The summer was pretty s**t.
So. All in all. It’s been alright.
Merry Christmas 🎄

What people say
Ginger Bees Café, located on Portsmouth Road in Kingston upon Thames, is a delightful coffee shop, family-style restaurant, and ice cream parlor that offers a beautiful view of the Thames. The café serves delicious coffee, sweet treats, and freshly prepared lite bites that are sure to satisfy your cravings.
Despite being a seasonal business historically, Ginger Bees Café has recently tried to stay open as much as possible during colder and wetter weather conditions. However, due to the high cost of running the equipment during such times, they have decided to only open on Saturdays and Sundays when customers are more likely to visit. This shows their commitment to providing quality service while also being mindful of their resources.
The staff at Ginger Bees Café are friendly and welcoming, always ready to serve you with a smile. They take pride in their perfect cappuccinos and delicious cakes that keep customers coming back for more.
If you're looking for a cozy spot with great food and drinks while enjoying a stunning view of the Thames, Ginger Bees Café is definitely worth checking out.
