Last week we became a certified carbon neutral company. Carbon neutrality means achieving net zero carbon dioxide emissions by balancing emitting carbon with absorbing carbon.
It's impossible to produce and serve roasted coffee without creating carbon but it is possible to reduce the amount created and to counterbalance it to net zero via eco-positive initiatives.
Producing a glass of dairy milk every day for a year requires 650sq metres of land - the equivalent of two tennis courts and more than 10 times as much as the same amount of oat milk.
Bearing this in mind, from today and forever at both shops (Parkhall and Ferndale Road) we are offering a 20p discount when you order a milk-based coffee and swap dairy milk for any alternative milk.
We're already serving around 25% of our milk-based drinks with alternative milk - an increase of 10% from 2019. We're aiming for 50% by this time next year.
Get in touch with us if you have any questions about any of the above. With your support we can help to reverse the damage we've done to the environment over the past few centuries.
See you soon 🌋☕✌🏻✌🏼✌🏽✌🏾✌🏿

This iconic photo of Tinu clutching her bowl of hot oats was taken around this time last year. Fast forward 12 months and our Martell Road café looks and feels very different.
But we're still here serving house-roasted coffee, fresh sandwiches, pastries and cakes, drinks and snacks 🍔
We have the full range of Volcano Coffee Works and Assembly Coffee coffees available to buy - ask us to grind up the beans for you if needed ☕
Scan our track and trace QR code and you can sit in for an hour to crack on with some work or catch up with a pal. Or grab bits to take out and pitch up in the front courtyard in the early autumn sun 🍁☀️
We're now fully stocked with alt milks to buy and fresh sourdough from Crystal Palace mates Chas & Momo, and we'll have more treats appearing on our shelves in the coming weeks 🍯🍪
And we're marking Volcano Coffee Works becoming a carbon neutral business by making alt milks free-of-charge forever. Get in touch if you want to ask us any questions on this 🌍❤️
Now open seven days a week! Monday-Friday 8.00-15.30, Saturday 9.00-15.00 and Sunday 10.00-14.00 📅
See you soon 🌋☕✌🏻✌🏼✌🏽✌🏾✌🏿
