Thomas James Smith
with Leon Itzler
What:
After being invited to play at Elton John’s Aids Foundation summer ball in 2014, Thomas James Smith decided to pursue his solo project and leave the session musician life. That decision lead him to releasing a self produced Album, EP and 2 singles (all available on spotify). Cafe chula will be his first gig back on home turf after the global pandemic, in which he escaped to Scandinavia to go on a house concert tour with his band.
Leon Itzler is a multi instrumentalist, producer, engineer. Who is responsible for a large proportion of North London’s unsigned music releases. One can find him in his home studio, where he has cooked up a storm with the likes of Nyoh, Sam Garrett and his own band Neon Gru.
Finally, after endless lockdowns, Thomas James Smith and Leon will be performing together again. They’ve been playing together for more than 5 years. Those years have seen them performing at Glastonbury festival, in london skyscrapers and at early morning raves to name few. Expect some toe taping acoustic goodness and bass-beatboxing virtuosity.

To get to Camden Lock Place in London, you can take the Northern Line on the London Underground and exit at Camden Town station. From there, it is a short walk to Camden Lock Place.
If driving, you can park at the APCOA Parking Lot located at 35 Pratt Street, Camden Town, London NW1 0BG. It is a 5-minute walk from there to Camden Lock Place.
Alternatively, there are several bus routes that run through Camden Town including: 24, 27, 29, 31, 46, 88, 134 and C2. Check Transport for London's website or app for specific route details and timetables.
