A little history before our next chapter ✨
Here are a few moments from the past of The Edinboro Castle — a Camden landmark since 1839.
Originally built as a coaching inn and named after Edinburgh Castle, the Edinboro has worn its (archaic!) spelling with pride. Over the years it’s been many things: home to tea gardens, a small library and museum, a much-loved local, and a survivor — restored to its Victorian charm after a fire in 1984.
Grade II listed and full of stories, it’s long been known for its generous beer garden and place in the neighbourhood’s history.
We’re proud to honour everything that’s come before — and we can’t wait to welcome you into this new chapter.

Public transport:
- Take the Northern line on the London Underground and alight at Camden Town station. Walk towards Camden High Street and turn left, then continue straight until you reach Mornington Crescent. Turn right onto Mornington Terrace and walk for about 5 minutes until you reach your destination.
- Alternatively, take any bus that goes to Camden High Street or Euston Road and alight at Mornington Crescent Station stop.
Driving/parking:
- If driving from central London, head north on Euston Road towards Mornington Crescent. Turn left onto Howland Street and continue straight onto Hampstead Road. Turn right onto Harrington Square then left onto Tonbridge Street. Finally, turn right onto Mornington Terrace where parking can be found at nearby car parks or pay-and-display spots.
- Visitors may also use ride-hailing services or taxi cabs as an alternative to driving themselves.
