Meet our Adasi Breakfast Bowl. A Persian-inspired classic, with a lil’ Elder Press twist - a powerful savoury start to the day ( would be proud) 😊
Spiced puy lentils slow-cooked until silky, topped with a soft-boiled egg, fresh tomato, pickled shallots, micro parsley and creamy feta. Served with toasted ciabatta and lemon. A hearty, protein-rich breakfast bowl inspired by the comforting flavours of the Middle East. Yum! 🍋

Fun fact: he once had Lewis Capaldi join him on the decks 🙌 A photo of this legendary man is a phenomenon more wondrous than the Northern Lights! Soak it up... it may never happen again. 🍊SPECIALS alert! Chicken Salad with coconut-poached chicken, pears and blood orange vinaigrette (🍊 in season and oh so 😚👌), plus cabbage, carrots, Cornish leaves, roasted cashews and coriander.
🍋Grilled asparagus with burrata, toasted pine nut, micro sorrel topped with a lemon butter sauce & crostini. Oof!

All hail our Breakfast Granola Bowl! Hand made granola, of course, lovingly prepared and baked in-house using only the finest ingredients. Served on a bed of creamy yoghurt, packed with probiotics, and topped with seasonal fruit. A pretty outstanding way to start the day, in all fairness! Come grab a bowl! 🥣✨

Shout out to our phenomenal Nellie! 🌸
Nellie and Lindsay go back nearly 30 years. She used to live in the flat above Books for Cooks, where Lindsay worked, and every morning she’d come down for her coffee and a chat. This was the beginning of a life long friendship.🥰
What many of you might not know is just how remarkable Nellie’s background is. She’s a qualified naturopath and nutritionist with 26 years of experience, and spent 20 years in New Zealand working in an integrative practice alongside GPs. She has a depth of knowledge about health and wellbeing that quietly makes everything around her better -including this café. 😌
She’s a firecracker in all realms of life tbh! She swims all year - rivers, the Serpentine, whatever the weather. She cycles, goes to fitness classes, grows her own vegetables on her allotment, and cooks beautifully with what she grows. 💚
And on top of all of that, she’s a wonderful grandma to little Molly. 🥰
So here’s to Nellie, an absolute legend of The Elder Press Café! ☕💓

Bakewell tart meets brioche - meet the Bostock! 🙌✨
Rich, sweet & nutty, this beauty is a fiiiiirm fave at 🫶 We’re talking brioche soaked in a zesty orange syrup, layered with seasonal jam, almond frangipane, flaked almonds & finished with fresh fruit before baking in the oven.
Right now we’re using a gorgeous forced rhubarb jam because we love to keep things seasonal 🌸🙂

Meet Philip Mark Carter, our Artist of the Season 💙✨🎨
We stumbled upon Philip right here at Elder Press, sketchbook in hand, capturing the world around him. And what was his medium of choice? His macchiato. Yes, really. 🙂
His latest piece, The Blue Decanter, created ESPECIALLY for us, arrives just in time for the spring equinox, we couldn’t think of a more perfect way to welcome the season.☀️
When we asked what drives his work, he said something we won’t stop thinking about anytime soon:
“I try and look for the beautiful in the ordinary.” 🙌 Words to live by. We adore him.

Meet the heart behind , the one and only Chef Lindsay Elder. 🧡
From training at the California Culinary Academy and cooking alongside Wolfgang Puck in San Francisco, to the kitchens of The Connaught, The Goring and the beloved Books for Cooks right here in Notting Hill, Lindsay has spent a lifetime pouring her soul into food.
She’s catered, consulted (Two Fat Ladies, anyone? ✨), studied Nutrition, and through it all, never lost sight of what matters most: wholesome, flavour-led food made with love.
In 2019 she opened these doors and we are so glad she did.
This place exists because of her. And every single plate shows it. 🍽️😍

Behold our Chocolate Beetroot Cake…the cake people cross London for. 🍫
This slice of purply heaven has been on the counter at since day one, and it’s one of Lindsey’s all-time favourites. 💜
The beetroot and choc work so well together…it’s the most delicious combo and once you try you’ll never look back. Oh, AND it’s free from refined sugar and gluten ☀
This really is the perfect pick-me-up...chocolate ganache topping, say no more 😉
