We’re introducing a reserved espresso across our shops ☕️
Reserve espresso is a special espresso option made with carefully selected, limited beans.
Unlike our house espresso, it offers a more distinctive flavour profile and a more focused coffee experience.
You can choose Reserve Espresso for your usual coffee, whether that’s an espresso, flat white, latte, cappuccino, cortado, or any other espresso-based drink for an additional £2.
A small way to discover a different expression of coffee.

This time, we look a little closer at the Nagarians, and the things they make outside of it. Issue 02 features a poster by Karen , one of our baristas, alongside an interview with her and Yuzu - another of our baristas, and the illustrator behind the Nagare Month illustrations from January.
You’ll also find our recent coffee collaborations, a recap of London Coffee Festival week, new bakery additions and a few select shop pieces tucked inside.
Available both in physical and digital copies (link in bio). You can pick up a copy in store or read it online. We hope you enjoy Nagare time with our stories and coffee!

Since last year, we’ve had the chance to work with Fuglen Coffee Tokyo’s team for the first time. We’ve been quietly working on this since the beginning of the year, and our first Nagare Coffee drip bag, roasted by Fuglen Coffee Roasters Tokyo , is now officially launched.
Kenya AA Kiawanduma. Selected by the Fuglen Tokyo roasting team, this coffee reflects their roasting approach, offering a clear, fruit driven sweetness and acidity, with a juicy and expressive cup profile.
The drip bags have been improved with their latest technology, staying fresh for up to 6 months from production. Perfect if you’re planning to stock up during LCF week.
Available across all three locations. Limited availability.

| In conversation with Obadiah |
A closer look at the thinking behind our latest collaboration with .
During our visit, we spent time with Sam, founder of Obadiah, to hear how they approach coffee.
“We like to highlight and reveal the innate qualities of each coffee. A light touch, so it can shine in the most true and authentic way.”
A quiet, considered way of working - close to how we think about Nagare, and the reason this collaboration felt right from the start.
Muthuaini, Kenya, exclusively roasted by Obadiah, is now available across all three locations. Limited availability.
24/04/2026
Since the beginning of this year, we have been working on something truly special, a project that reflects our identity and pays tribute to the roasters we deeply respect.
We made a visit to Edinburgh - to taste the coffee, discuss the packaging designs, and spend some great time together; and we are now excited to share our latest collaboration with , a highly regarded roaster based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
This project brings together our coffee selection with Obadiah, alongside their iconic box design aesthetic. The custom lettering was created by our co-founder, Dora . The minimal and elegant strokes reflect a shared aesthetic that represents both our visions.
Every detail was developed side by side. A truly collaborative project in every sense.

What does balance taste like?
At Yard, flavour is shaped through harmony, where sweetness, acidity, and texture come together without edges.

In 2022, they opened a roastery in Naniwa Ward, equipped with a German made PROBAT roasting machine. Beyond coffee, they also craft chocolate and sweets daily, focusing on bringing out the natural character of each ingredient.
Our first collaboration began in 2024. This marks our second collaboration with Mr. Nakatani.

• Ethiopia Halo Barity Washing Station Washed
• Colombia El Bosque Washed
• El Salvador Emerson Vasquez Washed

Every few months, we rotate our house espresso, something we work on closely with Curve Coffee Roasters .
This time, we’re brewing Huabal from Cajamarca, Peru.
It’s a washed coffee with a creamy body, brown sugar sweetness, and a bit of red grape.
You’ll be tasting this in every espresso-based drink for now.
We’ll keep adjusting and refining it as we go, so it stays consistent in the cup.

What people say
Nagare Coffee, located on Brushfield Street in London, is a coffee shop that offers more than just great coffee. The name Nagare means "flowing like a river" in Japanese, and with the oriental background of the team, they aim to create an atmosphere that is both calming and welcoming.
Their monthly guest coffee selection features beans from Ethicus Coffee Roaster in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. This roastery has been recommended by local food magazine Brutus as one of the "Tastiest Coffee" in Japan. The selection includes unique blends such as Un Regalo De Dios [COE #3] / Nicargua and Kamunyaka AB / Kenya.
Nagare Coffee is not just a place to grab a cup of coffee; it's also a happy space where people can enjoy time with loved ones or indulge in their favorite hobbies. The shop hosts regular coffee workshops and cupping sessions, but they are also open to hosting other events such as book sharing sessions, art exhibitions, photography exhibitions or movie screenings.
On social media, Nagare Coffee has been praised for its outdoor seating area where customers can enjoy their coffee while soaking up the sunshine. It's clear that Nagare Coffee is more than just a place to grab a quick caffeine fix; it's a community hub where people can come together and enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
