It is with great sadness that Caraffini Restaurant announces the death of our founder, Paolo Caraffini.
Paolo was a remarkable restaurateur and a remarkable man. We know he was greatly loved by generations of customers, both at Caraffini and at Como Lario before that. Paolo worked his whole life in the restaurant business and was an old-school owner proprietor. He strove always for the highest standards of service, which he delivered with the legendary charm and charisma that made him so popular with customers - and a friend to so many. He also knew from his own experience what it took to make a great restaurant team - and at Caraffini he built one of the finest teams in the business.
His death marks the end of an era, for us, his customers and the industry as a whole. However, Caraffini Restaurant will continue and Paolo’s legacy will live on. For those of you who would like to record your appreciation of Paolo please email us on [email protected]
