After taking home Best Sustainable Coffee Shop at the LCF Awards 2026, the team dropped into Mosey and it’s one of those places that just makes you slow down and stay a little longer.
Inspired by Australia’s laid‑back café culture, Mosey is built around doing brunch properly, all day, every day with a focus on quality ingredients and a menu that feels both considered and easygoing. Seasonal dishes showcase local producers, from trout cured just up the road in Brockley to meat from Ellis Butchers in Blackheath.
Coffee is just as thoughtful, served using beans from Carnival Coffee Roasters in Penge aligning with the same quality-led, community-first approach that runs through the space.
Sustainability here isn’t a headline, it’s built into everything. From producing minimal waste (less than the average UK household) to recycling 80% through First Mile, every decision feels practical and considered. No single-use bottled drinks instead, filtered Belu water on tap and house-made sodas. Even leftover barista milk finds its way back into the kitchen.
There’s a warmth to the place that goes beyond the menu, we met Ginnie, the founder, whose passion for sustainability and great local produce runs through everything they do.

We teamed up with City Harvest London who collected surplus food from and redistributed it to communities in need 💚
Donations from The London Coffee Festival this year equate to:
🍴 12,743 meals delivered to charities feeding their communities
🌎 17.8 tonnes of GHG emissions diverted by rescuing food for human consumption

Fresh off winning Best Community Coffee Shop at The LCF Awards 2026 (for the second year in a row), the team dropped into arriving just as one of their Vinyl Mornings was in full swing. Coffee, music and community all coming together - it’s easy to see why they’ve taken the title again.
Carnival roast everything in-house, with a line up that leans in to the bold and curious.
Right now, try their Curiosities Magnum Sidra from Colombia - a Mosto Anaerobic process with notes of mango, limoncello and jasmine.
You might recognise Reece Hennessy (), who recently reached the finals of the Cold Brew Competition at LCF.
Vinyl Mornings say it all - records on and coffee flowing and a space that feels alive. Tuesday cuppings (10–12) bring the discovery side in.
