Look what we found hiding above the ceiling... 👀✨
As work continues at The Glassblower, we’ve uncovered six windows we didn’t even know were there!
Even our GM Anna, who’s been here for more than 20 years, had never seen them before.
And the best bit? They’re staying ❤️ They’re being carefully restored and will become part of the new-look Glassblower when we reopen.

A little message for anyone who knew Hamish West❤️

For anyone who hasn’t heard, we sadly lost our friend Hamish on 21st August 2026 when he passed away in his sleep.

As many of you will know, Hamish was originally from New Zealand, and although he has no family here over the years he made plenty of friends who became family. ❤️
He spent many years working at Mitchells & Butlers for Nicholsons Pubs followed by Greene King, at The Glassblower, so we’d be really grateful if you could share this with anyone you think may have known him and would want to know 💔.

We will be holding a memorial
in celebration of his life; to remember him, have a few drinks, some fizzy pop, share some stories, enjoy to some music, and of course a buffet!! — the sort of gathering we think he would have appreciated.

⏰ From 3pm onwards
❤️ Everyone who knew him is welcome.

We were hoping to find a mysterious pot of gold under his mattress to help pay for the event… unfortunately, no such luck! 😂

So, if anyone would like to contribute towards the cost of the memorial, any donation, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated. There is absolutely no pressure or expectation to donate — coming along, sharing a memory or simply raising a glass to him is more than enough.

Most importantly, please share this post with anyone you think may have known Hamish. We’d love for as many of his friends as possible to have the opportunity to come along and remember him.

To reach Glasshouse Street in London, you can take public transport by using the Piccadilly or Bakerloo line and getting off at Piccadilly Circus station. From the station, walk towards Regent Street and turn left onto Glasshouse Street.

Alternatively, if you prefer to drive, you can park at Q-Park Burlington on Brewer Street and walk for 5 minutes to reach Glasshouse Street via Sherwood Street.
