All good things must come to an end, and so it is with a huge THANK YOU for all your support over the past four months that we announce that Boxfood.co.uk will be ceasing trading from Monday 15th June, with final deliveries out to customers on Wednesday 17th June.

* Orders placed on Friday 12th will be delivered on Tuesday 16th June.
* Orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or Monday will be delivered on Wednesday 17th June. No orders will be taken after Monday 15th June.

We set up BoxFood in just 72 hours with the hope of getting our amazing produce out to those who desperately needed it during lockdown. Usually, the suppliers of BoxFood sell their quality ingredients into the UK's top restaurants, hotels and events but overnight, they had a surplus of produce.

During lockdown, our produce has been going to thousands across London, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk – and the wonderful feedback has been overwhelming. From those who are elderly, disabled or pregnant to those who just couldn’t get delivery slots at any of the supermarkets or were isolating, we managed to help so many people – and for that, we are incredibly proud.

On top of all this, we also managed to make sizeable donations to City Harvest, who supply food to the hungry and vulnerable across London – particularly important given the issues food banks and similar charities were experiencing with getting supplies during the food shortages.

As lockdown relaxes and people start returning to their usual supermarkets and local shops, we have found it isn’t viable to continue with BoxFood anymore. We are sorry for any disappointment this causes. However, we are keeping our doors open for the next few days so you can place any last minute orders and stock up on all your favourite produce. All of our meat can be frozen, so you’ll be able to save it for a while!

Once again, thank you for supporting us through this crazy time! We hope you have enjoyed BoxFood as much as we have enjoyed serving you. Stay safe!

Do you need food for the upcoming bank holiday on Friday THIS WEEK? If so, you need to get your orders in with boxfood.co.uk before 5pm TODAY for delivery on THURSDAY this week. Any orders placed after 5pm today or tomorrow will be delivered on Monday 11th next week. Orders placed on Thursday 7th, will be delivered on Tuesday 12th.
