5 years today..🎂🥂
From launching in the middle of lockdown uncertainty in 2021… to helping establish The Devonshire Arms at the heart of Duke Street during the centenary year of 7 Duke Street — what a journey it’s been.
We’re incredibly proud of what’s been built here together.
Thank you to every guest, every team member past & present, and everyone who’s supported us along the way.
Thanks for popping-inn. ❤️

Blast from the Past…
An oldie when we had no ‘arms’ at The Devonshire and upstairs was offices!
Not sure of the year? Any guesses? 🤔

Top marks for our Beers! It’s official we serve a GREAT PINT!
ensure YOU are being served the BEST pint.
Visits like today are unannounced - twice a year. The accessor checks our ales on sale for temperature, aroma and taste. If the beers reach the required standard we get a plaque and certificate - truly the sign of a GREAT PINT 🍺
Pop in and enjoy one this weekend!

Easter Sunday feels like the perfect day to send Greg all of our love and luck, as he heads off to an exciting new role. ⭐️
I couldn’t be prouder of him…
And if I’m honest, we’re not quite ready for the hole he’s going to leave next week.
Three years ago, I got an email with a CV attached from a young Greg looking for a bar job. After 25 years of recruiting, you learn to trust your instinct. Sometimes you just know.
It’s usually the quiet ones.
No fuss, no noise he just turned up, got his head down, and delivered.
Steady. Reliable. Consistent. Every single day.
That doesn’t stay unnoticed.
Greg has played a huge role in building The Devonshire into what it is today. From running the day-to-day, managing stock, forecasting, recruitment and rotas to leading the team properly, from the front.
Always pushing standards.
Always improving.
Always doing the extra bit.
And what I’ve loved most-he was never afraid to ask.
If he didn’t understand something, he’d question it, get clarity then go away and make it work in his own way.
He understood the assignment.
And it’s been a real pleasure to watch him flourish.
Most importantly, trust.
Greg gave me the space to grow the business and become a better leader myself. That’s rare.
He’s flown through his academy, had opportunities on the table and now he’s made his move.
Greg is taking on his first pub- his own business-within the Star Pubs & Bars family.
Massive step. Fully deserved.
We’ll miss him. But this is exactly what it’s all about backing people and watching them go and do it for themselves.
Go well Gregory! I know you’ll smash it.
And....thanks for popping-inn 🍻🍻

🙌 We couldn’t be prouder of Tim here at The Devonshire…
He really is our hospitality hero! ⚡️
Not only does he always go out of his way to always make every guest feel welcome and at home - He’s also a passionate advocate for the pub industry and one of this week’s guest speakers at sharing how pubs can invest, grow, and keep doing what they do best: bringing people together.
❤️ Pubs aren’t just businesses - they’re the heartbeat of our communities.
We’re so proud – wish him luck this week! 👏

Because a pub is never just about the drink…
🖤 It’s where you duck in after work for a well-earned pint…
🖤 Where shoppers stop for a well-deserved refresh between hitting the shops…
🖤 Where you meet a mate in the heart of London…
🖤 Where stories are shared, friendships are made, and memories are built - right in the centre of it all.
Supporting your local means supporting the heart of your community. ❤️
