In this cold weather all I want is: “Polenta with mushrooms and Tuscan sausage Ragu’”
This dish brings back childhood memories, memories of us skiing in the Alps. Although from the south of Italy my dad had a deep love for the mountain. We would take ski lessons in the morning and we would stop at lunch time in a “rifugio” a typical wooden hut type of cafe, similar to a chalet, to warm up and eat some incredible food. Polenta on its on can be quite bland but it carries stews incredibly well. Have you ever tried to cook polenta?

My home made potato gnocchi. I have to say there is a vast difference with shop bought ones which are usually tough. And yes a bit of a mess but relatively quick to make. Anyway my little boy and I had fun making them. 🥰Will upload the video soon.
