A favourite across Wick and Caithness, Lisa has played venues including The Alexander Bain and Wick Seaforth Highlanders Club. She was a Ness Factor 2023 contestant and supported comedian Jim Smith at Wick Assembly Rooms in May 2025.

Did you know Wick Harbour is packed with history? Back in 1864, over 30 MILLION herring were landed here in just ONE day – making it Europe’s busiest herring port! Designed by legendary engineer Thomas Telford. Its name comes from the Old Norse Vík, used by Vikings over 1,000 years ago. It even changed safety laws for every harbour in Scotland after the 1848 storm.

Halo Trad Band arrives at Alexander Bain, with music starting at 8:30 PM.

This all-female trio, based in the Highlands of Scotland, features fiddle, accordion and acoustic guitar. They blend vibrant traditional and contemporary Scottish folk music, including original pieces composed by fiddle player Emily Morrison. Having performed at festivals and venues across Scotland and the UK — including popular spots like Kylesku Hotel — they now bring their lively, authentic sound straight to us.

A little Monday motivation from Kenny and Brian’s latest Wing Wednesday challenge.

Brian played it safe with 10 wings, while Kenny took on the mighty 20-wing challenge and demolished the lot in 17.5 minutes.

Safe to say there was nothing left but bones, and Kenny was pretty pleased with himself.
