Something special is arriving this week at 2 Veneti.
Our new outdoor and Cicchetti menu launches on 1st May — a celebration of the season, best enjoyed al fresco with a child glass of wine.

Among the highlights, our giardiniera fatta in casa: a traditional Italian preserve of seasonal vegetables, gently pickled to bring together brightness, crunch, and depth. Prepared with care and left to rest until the flavours settle into that unmistakable harmony of sweet, sharp, and savoury.

Served as part of our cicchetti and bar snack selection, it’s a simple, honest expression of Italian tradition — one that speaks of old kitchens, long lunches, and good wine.

Green season is here — artichokes and asparagus at their peak, flavours sharpened, textures refined.
Coming soon on our menu:

Stracciatella with tender artichokes -
Friulano roasted herb ham with crisp cabbage and Chef Stefano’s handmade potato gnocchi with mixed asparagus, butter, Parmigiano and black truffle — soft, rich, deeply comforting.

And to complete it, Simon and Stefano have created a new selection of Cicchetti created for those long-awaited aperitivo moments and unhurried evenings.

In Veneto, asparagi e uova is a simple springtime tradition — a dish that truly celebrates the season.

While white asparagus grows slowly under the soil, hidden from the sun, which keeps it pale, soft, and delicate in flavour, the green asparagus, on the other hand, enjoys the sunlight, giving it a brighter, fresher taste.

April is the start of this colorful, joyful time of year — when days grow longer, alfresco tables fill up, and every meal feels a little brighter.

This month, as part of our 20-year celebration we propose our Soft-Poached Red Yolk Egg with Green and White Asparagus.

There are evenings that remind us why we began this journey. ✨
Our heartfelt thanks to the Locatelli family for the wonderful event at 2 Veneti last week — an evening filled with warmth, memories and the joy of welcoming so many guests who have supported us for 20 years. Seeing familiar faces, friends and loyal customers gathered around our tables was truly special.
To have had the honour of welcoming into our kitchen was a moment we will treasure. Hearing from the Maestro himself, and his generous words of congratulations to Simon for his determination in championing Italian cuisine — and in particular the Venetian tradition — meant more than we can express.
This is why we do what we do: to preserve, to honour, and to share the beauty of our heritage.
And we are not stopping here.
If with Giorgio we celebrated la tradizione a tavola, our next event will honour la tradizione nel calice. 🍷

While we wait for the sun to return and shine across our tables — lighting up colourful glasses of Rosé and long al fresco lunches — we do what we do best: find beautiful excuses to celebrate.

March is gently coming to a close, and so is our celebratory dish:
Seppie in umido alla Trevigiana — cuttlefish slowly cooked in tomato served with soft polenta — soon making space for our April arrival.
Already peeking through the kitchen door: white and green asparagus and our soft poached red yolk — a seasonal ritual we look forward to every year.

But we simply cannot think of ending March without mentioning our special event on the 26th March.

An evening that means so much to us, as the 2 Veneti team will serve a menu especially curated by Giorgio Locatelli, with an exclusive preview of his new products LocaDeli before they reach the shelves.

On 26th March, 2 Veneti will celebrate in the most special way I could imagine.

For one evening only, one of the greatest ambassadors of Italian cuisine, will be part of a special evening alongside us here in Marylebone.

I’ve admired Giorgio for many years. We were once neighbours here, both flying the flag for Italian food in London, and it feels incredibly meaningful to now stand side by side in my restaurant to mark this milestone.

Giorgio has curated a beautiful four-course menu for the evening, bringing some of his dishes to — a true celebration of Northern Italian flavours, tradition and seasonality.
Stefano and I will begin the night with canapés, before handing over to Giorgio’s creations.
We’ll also be showcasing exclusive products from his new range before they reach the shops.
And of course, the wines will tell our story too — celebrating the vineyards and mineral-rich soils of northern Italy, the regions that shaped us.
Twenty years ago, I opened the doors on Wigmore Street with a dream of sharing authentic Venetian cuisine. To still be here, surrounded by our loyal guests and community, means everything.

At the celebration of our 20th anniversary continues into March.

For twenty years, we have shared the flavours, stories and soul of Veneto — and some dishes do more than simply feed us — they take us home.
The same aromas, the same comforting flavours that say everything without saying a word.
This month, we honour that milestone with Seppie in Umido alla Trevigiana.
Tender cuttlefish, slowly braised in tomato sauce, gently simmered until soft and rich with flavour, served the only way it should be — with comforting polenta.
