We’re FINALISTS: BII Licensee of The Year Award! We are one of just six finalists in national ‘Licensee of the Year Award’. Next step is the final judging day on 15th June for interviews with a series of judging panels, before the winner is announced at an awards ceremony in central London on 16th June.
This award really does mean a lot and will enable us to showcase all our achievements, our passion for hospitality, continued and positive growth and development, our amazing team, and, above all else, our commitment to and love of our local community. Without you guys we wouldn’t be here.
In 2022 we took on a small back street pub that hadn’t been doing too well. We put our hearts and souls into making it special and made real effort to connect with the local community. The Windsor Castle is now a much loved community asset, for the community, with the community at its heart ♥️

UPDATE: BII Licensee of The Year Award:
As many will already know, we’ve made it through to the SEMI-FINALS of the ‘Licensee of the Year Award’ (LOYA). This week we had our in-person judging visit from two previous winners and successful hospitality professionals.
They were with us for over two hours, carrying out a full premises inspection and tour before discussing a wide range of areas including: our approaches to sustainable financial management, marketing, charity support, community focus, staffing and staff support (including training and upskilling), our food and drink offer, profit margins and overheads, environmental awareness, local business competitors, and our business strategy and future plans.
There are just six places in the final, so do keep your fingers crossed for us. This award means a lot and will really help to showcase our passion for hospitality and positive growth, our amazing team, and, above all else, our commitment to and love of our local community. Without you guys we wouldn’t be here.

Happy New Year from CityStack and the brilliant independent pubs we work with! Here’s to a year of good beers, good company, and great locals.🍻
Now that the confetti’s settled, many of you might be taking on Dry January. Fair play. But January also happens to be the quietest (and toughest) month for independent pubs. Fewer visitors, grim weather, and tighter wallets. All while bills keep mounting, far from easing.
How can you help? Well, it’s pretty simple. If you can, visit these much-needed community hubs once a week. Picture this: you, by a cosy, crackling fireplace, a warming drink in hand, a hearty meal in front of you, or even just some crisps shared with a loved one.
If you’re taking part in Dry January, our pubs serve excellent non-alcoholic options, and your CityStack Special Beer Mat works on food too.
Looking for a New Year’s resolution you’ll actually keep?
Support small businesses. Visit independent pubs. Repeat weekly.
Thank you very much for your support and let's go to independent pubs!
PS: If you’re wondering which pub this beautiful bar belongs to, check out the Pelton Arms , a brilliant independent pub located in Greenwich!

With the beginning of a new year, we’re reflecting on the one that has passed…
2025 was an incredible year for us at The Windsor Castle! We continued to feel the love and support from our local East Finchley community and many new faces from further afield who have become regular customers. We wouldn’t be here without you guys 😍 We are incredibly grateful for your continued custom!
Keeping an independent pub business afloat isn’t easy and it got a lot harder in 2025. 2026 will bring even higher overheads but we will do our very best to continue providing an all round quality offer.
THANK YOU ALL for your support, may your own year ahead be filled with good health, laughter and love.
Happy New Year from Team Windsor x 🍻🥂
