Our beautiful cafe is closed.
We received an unlawful notice to vacate during the 1st lockdown by the people who were trusted by the Hackney Council to protect the small businesses at The Baths.
The current lease holders evicted all the small businesses, after they lied and stole our prepaid rents and deposits. They left the building cold and dark failing to pay for electricity, and are now taking advantage of our well established reputation and continue to unlawfully use the registered trademark "The Baths" for the cafe and the building. Pretending nothing happened, they continue to make a living of a business that was not established by them.
The current lease holders are Stour.

Every day people are calling asking me when we will re-open. I am informing everyone, our loyal customers and members of the local community that we are no longer there. Stour space, a local affordable workspace provider that was supposed to be our partner and help to protect our community at The Old Baths, sadly gave us a notice to vacate without a justification. We have now left the building and don't have the funds to reopen whilst Stour has chosen to use our brand name.

If you miss us as much as we do and want to support us, please buy the dishes we used to serve at the cafe packed as a ready meals from the sustainable online supermarket, Abel & Cole.

The Gaia Pulses ready meals are Organic and Vegan with 100% natural ingredients, cooked with Olive Oil, No allergens and in Compostable packaging.

Thank you all for the magical 5 years we spent together. I guess it was too good to be true.
