From Basra 🇮🇶 to Dubai 🇦🇪 to becoming British 🇬🇧
I moved to Dubai in 2007, where I completed my education, before first coming to the UK in 2015 to study. I later returned for my Master’s, invested in Britain, built businesses and created jobs.
I went on to found Shawarma Hut in London, a charitable Lebanese restaurant providing free meals to homeless people seven days a week and helping people struggling with food.
In 2026, I became a British citizen. 🇬🇧
This short video captures more than a decade of that journey.
