Off Duty - 3.4% New England Session Pale Ale

A bead of sweat drips down my forehead. I’ve been working all day, and the Sun has been leering at me from a perfect blue sky.
“God don’t you wish you were outside Lachie” whispers the Sun.
“Yes.” I reply in utter obviousness “and I wish to be outside complimented by the perfect beer. Please.”

And that’s when I found out, sometimes wishes com true…

We’ve dialled back our New England Pale base for a 3.4% start of Summer session. This the familiar Mikkeller Brewpub London base featuring a hefty wheat addition and pillowy oats.
But this time brewed to a lower, more sessionable strength.

Off Duty features a stunning dry hop of Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy and Hallertau Blanc for notes of gooseberry, passionfruit and if you’re into it, freshly cut grass.

Browsing a really cute mini-flea market by Mikkeller Brewpub Staff with your best friends.
Laughing and drinking in the bank-holiday Sunday sunshine as DJ’s serenade your absolutely unforgettable evening.
Sounds far too good to be true, right?

Fever Dream - 5% Bright Pale Ale
Let me tell you a story…
Back in February, the Brew team had the esteem honour and privilege of brewing up a collab with
Manchester’s finest .
I’ve got to say, it does not get better than this…
Working together to create a Bright Pale Ale, ‘Fever Dream’ features a clean, light, simplistic base layered with expressive modern hops -
The Nelson Sauvin and NZ Cascade produces notes of tinned pineapples, dank w**d and bright citrus, with a
West Coast style snap to round off the dry and resinous finish.

A truly collaborative experience, a dream…a memory Will and Joe reminisce with a glint in their eye and fondness on their lips.
Personally, it’s one of my favourite beers we’ve ever poured…

Two things.
1. I’m standing on the edge of the dock, the fenders are stowed and the boat slowly pulls away, Anna waving her handkerchief, a single tear streams down my cheek.
Our dearest bartender Anna had her last shift with us recently. Probably one of the funniest and sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.
Bon voyage dearest New Yorker super star. You will be sorely missed.

2. We started stocking Café Patron so time to get buck wild in the sunshine I guess.

LONDON MARATHON WEEK AT THE BREWPUB!
Big man (former manager) is back in town and raisin’ some serious funds.
Shake out run Saturday with the Run Club.
Free pint and chicken for marathon finishers on Sunday.
What a week.

Midas Touch - 4.2% Nitro Golden Ale

The whispers are true. I have heard it with my own ears, seen it with my own eyes and tasted it with my own tongue.
Will and Joe have done it once again.

This is a modern twist on a classic UK golden ale, a pairing of all British ingredients - utilised with modern techniques.

The dry-hop of “Ernest”, sourced through our friends provides a subtle aroma of orange blossom, grass and apricots. Liquid Gold, held together in a tight lacing of nitrogen to give a full bodied, smooth and creamy pint.

Here at the brewpub, it seems everything we touch, turns to gold.

Over the weekend we said goodbye to our star boy Seb. Am I devastated? Absolutely.
I can’t express how much Seb has been such an important presence here. Kind, gentle, loving and funny as all f**k.
Seb departs for home, before venturing to Melbourne to start his new life as the best music producer in the world.
Thank you for everything. We’re gonna miss our best friend very much.

It’s possible that we had one of the busiest Saturdays ever last week. Spring seems to truly have sprung and the thirst and appetite of you hooligans ravished us dry.
Lucky we’re on top of our s**t.
Replenished, restocked and rested.
Come and get a pint poured by Seb (pictured) before he leaves us for good (April 9…)
