Ong ong buns Ong ong buns, a bakery, Chinese restaurant, and dessert restaurant located on Earlham Street, was known for its delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and feline-inspired decor. They specialized in traditional Chinese Lunar New Year treats such as the squidgy gelatinous rice cake known as nian gao, which they offered in a unique cat paw shape. Customers could pre-order their sweet Chinese Luna New Year goodies via their website and enjoy them during the festive season from February 10th to February 25th in 2024. Additionally, Ong ong buns expanded their services by allowing Deliveroo orders from their Spa Terminus (Bermondsey) and Westfield Stratford City stores. However, despite its popularity and success, Ong ong buns has permanently closed its doors.

The next logical step is to have a stall at The City’s oldest market dating from 14th century. That’s older than the country of Malaysia.

From Monday 3 February 2025 we will have a 4 week residency and the very centre of the historic Grade II listed building.

*£5.99 for the gift boxes and a free bun from our sweet or salty range. The box can hold up to 12 of the round buns; hold even more if you want to go traditional Asian and stuff as much in the box as possible. Rubber band free for the latter option.
