June 15 l Lion & Lamb with DJ Koolt + Mauro Ferno
In every generation, a few DJ’s manage to go beyond just playing music and create entire movements and cultural moments for their communities. For Montevideo, DJ Koolt is exactly one of these rare individuals. From his years spent pushing underground sounds, to opening the now globally-reknowned Phonotheque with two friends in 2013, Koolt remains a figurehead in Latin American electronic music, and a reference point for many of the artists we now know and love in London. One of the most devoted selectors currently operating expect to be taken on a journey through the darkest corners of tech, electro and acid.

Developed by a deep passion for music at an early age, and influenced by jazz, soul, and funk, Cabanne, also known as Jean-Guillaume Cabanne, originally rose to prominence as a figure in the minimal and microhouse scenes, releasing on labels like Perlon, Telegraph and Minibar. Helping to shape those genres both as a selector and producer then, his sound remains characterised by intricate rhythms, playful sounds, and the meticulous attention to detail that his original rise built upon, and we could not be more pleased to host him for a show a long time in the making.
