A fire broke out behind Sainsbury’s in Willesden Green today, near the power plant.
Big thanks to the local fire brigade for getting the situation under control so quickly. Thankfully, as far as we know, no one was hurt.
To the firefighters who attended, next time you’re in the area, coffee is on us.
Sainsbury’s may be closed for a little while, so please bear with us if there are any temporary toastie shortages.

By public transport
- Tube: Take the Jubilee Line to Willesden Green station, then walk about 10–15 minutes along Willesden High Road toward the shops/cafes.
- Overground/rail: Use London Overground to Willesden Junction, then take a bus or taxi for the final stretch; it’s roughly a 10–20 minute ride depending on traffic and walking pace.
- Bus: Several buses run along Willesden High Road. Get off at a stop near Willesden High Road shops and walk a few minutes to the café.
By driving
- From central London, follow signs for A404 / Brentford Road area and continue toward Willesden High Road.
- Parking: Look for nearby street parking where available (check pay-by-phone/permit restrictions) and use local car parks in the Willesden area if street spaces are limited. Allow extra time during peak hours.
