Origin Spotlight: Your Oat Milk 🥛🌾
We recently spent the day with MOMA, J M Stratton & Co and , following the journey from oat field to oat milk on a farm that has been in the same family for over 100 years.
From walking the fields and touring the processing facilities to seeing one of the world’s largest combine harvesters at work, it was an opportunity to better understand the people, places and processes behind an ingredient we use every day.
We also heard first-hand about the challenges of farming through increasingly dry conditions, where prolonged periods without rain can put significant pressure on crops and make an already demanding job even less predictable.
The more time we spend with the producers behind what we serve, the more we appreciate the care, expertise and resilience involved, as well as the many hands across the supply chain that make it all possible.
Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and shared their knowledge with us. 🌾☕️

Origin Spotlight: Fazenda Palmital Estate 🇧🇷
On a recent origin trip to Brazil, our founder Leon visited Fazenda Palmital alongside SMC Specialty Coffees and DRWakefield.
A huge thank you to Carlos Augusto Rodrigues de Melo, his son Augusto Melo and the entire team for their warm welcome.
Carlos is also the elected President of Cafés Cooxupé, representing more than 21,000 coffee producing families across Brazil. It was a privilege to spend time discussing the future of coffee, the challenges facing producers and the importance of supporting farming communities. It was inspiring to see his passion for people and coffee.
Visits like these deepen our understanding of origin and strengthen the relationships behind the coffees we serve every day. Thank you to everyone at Fazenda Palmital. We look forward to returning. ☕🇧🇷
