Raspberry & Crème Fraîche Bow Ties.
Flaky, buttery layers filled with a raspberry jam and crème fraîche mousse which we’re delighted to now be making with agar agar instead of gelatine, so these pastries are now gelatine-free.

Cakes on the counter this morning in Portobello to celebrate the launch of ‘s new cookbook, Cake from Lucie.
We have copies of Lucie’s new book for sale in Portobello throughout the weekend, and Lucie is here today signing books until midday.
Cake will be on the counter today, tomorrow, and Sunday from 9am until sold out.

Lucie will be at Layla, Portobello on Friday from 9am-midday signing books and we will have a selection of cakes from her new cookbook on the counter Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am until sellout.

We are thrilled to be hosting Lucie Franc de Ferriere at Layla to celebrate the publication of Lucie’s new book, Cake From Lucie.
We will have a selection of cakes from Lucie’s new book on the counter exclusively at Portobello on Friday 5th June from 9am until sold out. We’ll also have copies of Lucie’s book available to buy, and Lucie herself will be here for a book signing.
For those who cannot make it on Friday, we will also have a smaller selection of Lucie’s cakes on the counter over the weekend, 6th and 7th June, from 9am until sold out.
Lucie Franc de Ferriere is the owner and head baker at From Lucie, a small East Village bakery known for its whimsical baked goods adorned with fresh flowers. Cake From Lucie invites home bakers to join Lucie in creating treats in her signature style, from easy everyday recipes to more intricate showstoppers.
Very excited to be a part of Lucie’s book tour and hope you’ll join us.
