We started teaching back in 2013.
It was a part of the vision from day1 and has been the basis of so much of what we are as a company.
A few years ago we opened the Baking Academy, a 6 month course to train and create talent.
My long term vision is to help set up talented bakers in small bakeries across the UK.
Ambitious- YES.
Achievable - Absolutely!
Who would like to see more small bakeries across UK

Our bakery workshops have been a huge hit over the past 15 years.
This lead us to open the Bread Ahead Academy. This is a 6 month program that covers Sourdough, Pastries and lots more.
Both practical and hands on experience directly in our bakeries.
Itโs my vision to build and inspire the next generation of talented bakers to uphold this wonderful tradition.

Is Bread Ahead a Chain?
I would love to hear your opinion about this.
Recently Iโve taken some criticism of becoming a โchainโ
I really never saw us in this light at all, we are just a team of people committed to what we do.
For me whatโs most important is the passion that lives in a company and bringing quality products and experiences to the communities we live in.
When does a company become too big- we are tiny in comparison to so many.
For me itโs just not about turnover or number of outlets.
Leadership, ethics, opportunity, creativity, are the lifeblood of what we are.
Please do share your thoughts on how you view us as a business.
Really appreciate it,

Bread Ahead.
Founded in 2013.
I left school at 15 and did a YTS (youth training scheme)
The moment I stepped into a kitchen I knew I had found my grooved.
Never looked back.
I opened Bread Ahead with the intention of baking some great products and teaching bread making.
We are still a 100% family business with no outside investment.
That really did take some doing.
Iโm here for you if you ever need and careers advice , or just a chat about life.

Interesting times at Bread Ahead.
I built this business from zero.
Literally nothing but really hard work from myself and a team of dedicated people.
The one thing I have learnt in 15 years is to take nothing for granted, and I donโt.
Behind the scenes of every successful business there will be someone like me working 7 days a week, always thinking, always planning, always creating. Itโs what it takes.
We will have good days and bad days, but the one thing I am so grateful is having the ability to adapt to pretty much any situation, and never ever give in for one minute.
So if youโre having a bad day take it from me, if you keep giving all of yourself to what you truly love you will always succeed.
Please share this message.
