Mostachón / Mexican Pavlova Cake - can be topped with a variety of fruits!
Our Mexican Pavlova Cake with Strawberries (Mostachon de Fresa) is a typical dessert from Northern Mexico. It is made by folding crushed biscuits and pecans into meringue. It is baked and then topped with a light cream and fresh strawberries. This dessert is wonderful and refreshing in the summer as it is stored in the fridge. However, you can enjoy this dessert year round.

Rollo de Cajeta / Dulce de Leche Roll Cake
This is the Mexican take on a Swiss roll. Dulce de leche is spread on the vanilla sponge and pecans are sprinkled. It is then rolled into a log and covered with additional dulce de leche and topped with more pecans.

Tres Leches Cake! 🍰
Tres Leches Cake (translates as Three Milks Cake) is a traditional Mexican dessert. It is a sponge cake that is soaked in three kinds of milk: evaporated milk, condensed milk, and whole milk. It is a light cake with many air bubbles which is perfect to soak up the milk. Best served cold straight from the fridge and topped with fresh berries or pecans! 😊

Over the holidays, we decided to expand our offerings and now also sell traditional Mexican desserts (and some not so Mexican, too)! Over the next few days, we will share with you photos of the desserts we've made and are available for purchase.
Meanwhile, below are some amazing Pastor tacos made today. In Northern Mexico we know them as Tacos de Trompo. Other places call them Tacos de Adobada. No matter the name, these tacos are exquisite! Pork is marinated overnight with adobada which is a combination of chillies, spices, pineapple, and achiote paste. Once cooked, we top it off with onion, cilantro, and a squeeze of lime!
