What people say
Italian restaurants are known for their warm and friendly atmosphere, authentic cuisine, and value-for-money food. Ristorante Olivelli in London is a perfect example of an Italian restaurant that embodies all these qualities. Founded in 1934 by Sicilian-born Rita and Enrico Olivelli, the restaurant quickly became a culinary haven for students from nearby Rada and famous actors and actresses at London theatres.
The restaurant's reputation spread rapidly thanks to its warm, friendly atmosphere and authentic, value-for-money food. The Marx Brothers insisted on eating at the restaurant on their one and only visit to England. Among other famous diners were the legendary 'naughty girl' Mae West, Danny Kaye, Mickey Rooney, Bob Hope, and Liberace.
Today, Ristorante Olivelli continues to attract contemporary celebrities such as Kevin Spacey, Graham Norton, Jack Dee, Ben Elton, Eric Clapton, and Mel Brookes who continue to dine at Olivelli restaurants. The family-run Sicilian restaurants offer a wide range of dishes including pasta, pizza, fish, meat, vegetarian options as well as vegan and gluten-free options.
One of the unique characteristics of Ristorante Olivelli is its use of only the finest freshest ingredients sourced from Italy and nearby markets. This ensures that every dish served is of the highest quality with an authentic taste that transports you straight to Italy.
Overall if you're looking for an Italian restaurant that offers delicious food in a warm welcoming atmosphere then Ristorante Olivelli is definitely worth checking out!
