After leaving India back in 2007, founder Abhinav began a lucrative career working in the glitzy high-end Indian restaurants in Mayfair, before yearning to bring Londoners the nostalgic dishes he enjoyed during his childhood years, cooked up by Colonial peddlers on the streets of Delhi.

Now located on Level 6 of , Boxwallah serves carefully-crafted regional Indian homestyle eats to the people of South London and beyond. Each day Abhinav rustles up a selection of mouth-wateringly good, and intricately flavoured, homestyle curries, plus smaller Indian street food style bites for all to enjoy, including his widely loved handmade butter chicken samosas and lamb kebabs.

No reservations needed. Open AM to PM, Tuesday to Sunday.

That’s a wrap !! Despite some macro challenges and increased cost pressure, the UK food industry has continued to thrive and evolve.

It is to receive pure Unconditional love to have back Boxwallah’s first customer dining .
Almost 3 years back when the entire world was shut , somewhere in Kent in a tiny Kitchen at home some recipes were cracked, words spread through wats app groups , sumptuous dinners were cooked and delivered - Markus on our extreme right is the first paid customer for Boxwallah , now he travels more than 20 miles almost every second month to get his delicious Indian curry , supporting a small local business.

To get to Rye Lane in London, you can take the Overground or Southern Rail to Peckham Rye Station. From there, it is a short walk (less than 10 minutes) along Rye Lane to reach the food stalls and stands.

If you are driving, there are several metered parking spots available on nearby streets such as Choumert Grove and Blenheim Grove. Alternatively, there is a pay-and-display car park on Bellenden Road.

Please note that these directions are for the general area of Rye Lane and not specific to any one particular food stall or stand.
