Valentine's Day ❤️ for several years, we have spent rewarding kitchen moments creating special Valentine's dishes for our local community to endulge.This year it was a simple but delicious dish for two Pok Tak, aka seafood tom yum for lunch 😋. The evening was our first proper night out out with cocktails and great EDM beats, dancing on the sand was amazing but weird 🎶🤣. We hope you had a very happy Valentine's day, weekend, half term break. Sending huge hugs to our family, friends, followers and valued customers who have supported us over the years. Our journey takes us south of Phetchaburi with apx 50 miles long of prestine coastline to Sam Roi Yot. Hau Hin is a prefect city to stop, stay, meet and mingle. Expat community is huge and so is the food scene ranging from Thai dishes, Typical Sunday Roast, fish and chips, schnitzel and egg benedict are all available here. To me, food is my heritage, my memories to preserve and I still so enjoy eating rice porridge, noodles for breakfast, snacking on skewered meatballs, dry squid and som tum. Trying new dishes and cooking from scratch is also an exciting experience, getting up at the crack of dawn to visit the local wet market reminds me how super lucky I am to have grown up in this beautiful part of the world 🌎 ❤️🌞🥰

Oh my..This little village is Baan lat Phetchaburi ❤️ pure joy to be here reminiscing about my school summer holidays, they were filled with fun and adventure, rafting across the tiny river, falling in the water, being chased by a heard of buffaloes 🐃 🤣fetching fresh palm juice at a crack of dawn. Village life was simple but contented with strong community values. 😊..Back in the old days, my grandma's house was built bolan style with wood on stilts on a vast open land, in the middle of rice farm and palm trees. Now the land is still rich with local farming of mushrooms, bananas and pineapples, however Phetchaburi still shine as a place where excellent quality of palm sugar is produced. This place will always hold a special place in my heart ❤️ 💙 💜

Bangkok.. you're my happy place. The city where tradition meets future, chaos meets beauty, where every imaginable dish in the the world is available. I was super excited to visit the street where I grew up to discover so much has changed natually, however my favourite restaurant is still in the same place, with the same original owner, using the same traditional recipe for their famous roast duck, the flavour took me back to my childhood almost 50 years ago!..such fond memories ❤️..next stop Phetchaburi where I spent many school holiday breaks with my family 🇹🇭😊

Happy New Year...A bit late to the party but we've been busy clearing and packing. A huge thank you to all our wonderful loyal customers, and loyal customers who became friends, my team and everyone involved in the past years to make Val's Thai so successful. Thanks to John for giving us a home at the Hop Poles, and Enfiled Matters admin staff, Joy E Cowley-Smith, We've had overwhelming support from day one and super grateful for the love of the community ❤️🙏🙏
