What goes into creating a new restaurant menu?
Before anything makes it onto your plate at Ochre, there’s plenty of tasting, debating, tweaking, and often making difficult decisions to cut dishes we really love.
Our latest menu development day brought together chefs, management and owners to put some potential autumn dishes to the test. We look at what’s in season and refine every flavour, texture and detail along the way.
And while you might spot something you’d love to try in this video, there are no guarantees it’ll make the final cut.

Fish & Chips. The definitive British classic.
We coat a haddock fillet in flour before dipping it into our b**r batter, made with Noam l***r. It’s then fried until golden brown, while remaining perfectly flaky inside.
Our thick-cut chips are cooked for that ideal balance of a crisp exterior and fluffy centre, then served with an incredible homemade tartare sauce, mushy peas and a fresh wedge of lemon.

If traveling by public transport, the nearest station is Charing Cross with access to the Northern and Bakerloo lines as well as National Rail services. The restaurant is within walking distance from the station.
If driving, take the A4 and follow signs towards Trafalgar Square. There are several nearby car parks including Q-Park Trafalgar and Park Lane Car Park. Please note that parking in central London can be expensive.
