Globetrotters Softplay will be closed on Thursday 17th and Friday 18th September 2026.
We’ll be using this time for a deep clean, general maintenance and staff refresher training.
Although we clean and maintain our centre throughout every day, a little reset and refresh helps us keep our standards high and continue giving your families the best experience possible. ❤️

The Great British Summer promotion has officially come to an end, the school uniforms are back on, and the school runs have begun again! 📚✏️
A huge thank you to every single family who visited us over the summer and supported our little family-run business. ❤️
The summer holidays are always one of the most challenging times for soft play centres — with families making the most of the sunshine, holidays, and days out, it can be our quieter season. But thanks to our amazing local community continuing to visit, play, eat, and support independent businesses, we’re still here doing what we love. 🌍🚌
With rising costs and yet more challenges ahead (hello, tax hikes 👀), every booking, every coffee, every party and every visit really does make a difference.
So from our family to yours — thank you for helping us survive another summer! 🥰

Affordable play matters 💙
We’re proud to support the Association of Indoor Play campaign to reduce VAT from 20% to 0%. Lower VAT would help small businesses like ours keep play affordable, invest in our facilities, and continue providing safe, fun experiences for families across the UK.

☀️ Summer Opening Hours Update ☀️
As we make the most of the final few weeks of the summer holidays, we’d like to let all our wonderful customers know about a small change to our opening hours.
📅 For the next couple of weeks, our weekend sessions will finish at 2:30pm.
🚫 Please also note that Globetrotters Softplay Centre will be closed on Sunday 23rd August 2026.
As a family-run business, this gives our amazing team the opportunity to spend some quality time with their own families before the new school term begins.
We strongly recommend booking online in advance and checking our opening hours before travelling to the centre to avoid disappointment.

This time last week, I had the privilege of attending No. 11 Downing Street to discuss the impact of VAT on small businesses and the Government’s Great British Summer scheme with MP Daniel Francis.
As a small business owner, I felt incredibly honoured to be invited and to have the opportunity to speak about the challenges businesses like ours face every single day.
Many people don’t realise that we pay 20% VAT on everything – admissions, parties, food and drink – on top of rising business rates, employer National Insurance contributions, increased wages, soaring energy bills and countless other costs. For many small businesses, it’s becoming increasingly unsustainable.
The Association of Indoor Play has been campaigning tirelessly to remove VAT on children’s play, making it more affordable and accessible for families while giving small businesses a fairer chance to thrive.
Here at Globetrotters Soft Play, we’ve worked hard to keep our prices as reasonable as possible because we know families are feeling the pressure too. We may look busy, but like so many independent businesses, we’re working incredibly hard just to stay afloat.
Supporting local businesses has never been more important. Whether it’s visiting us, recommending us to friends and family, engaging with our posts online, or making the most of initiatives like the Great British Summer scheme, every bit of support genuinely makes a difference.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our little family business. We truly couldn’t do it without you, and we hope to welcome you through our doors very soon.

☀️ Important Update for Our Customers ☀️
With temperatures set to soar this week and an Amber Heat Health Alert in place, we have made the difficult decision to adjust our opening hours to help manage costs during what is currently a very quiet period for business.
📍 We will be closed this afternoon, so there will be no 3pm–5pm session on Monday 22nd June.
📍 We will also be closed all day on Wednesday.
As many small independent businesses know, the summer months can be particularly challenging, with quieter footfall and rising operating costs. We completely understand that everyone is feeling the effects of the heat, but if you are able to, please consider supporting your local independent businesses throughout the summer.
Every visit, purchase, recommendation and share really does make a difference and helps keep small businesses like ours going.

**By Public Transport:**
1. **Train:** If you're coming from central London, take a Southeastern train from London Bridge or Charing Cross to Bexley station. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
2. From Bexley station, exit and head southeast on Station Road towards the High Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach Queen Street.
3. **Bus:** Several bus routes serve the area, including routes 229 and 492. Check local schedules for the most convenient stop near Queen Street.
**By Car:**
