KFC KFC, located on High Road, is a popular fast food restaurant and chicken shop that has been serving up some of the best chicken in the world since it was founded by The Colonel. KFC is also one of the biggest youth employers in the country and has partnered with UK Youth to develop Hatch, a program designed to train up young talent for the world of work. We’re one of the biggest youth employers in the country. But have you noticed that you need work experience to even get work experience? That’s a privilege loads of people can’t afford


Enter UK Youth. They’ve been a legendary partner in developing Hatch with us - a programme designed to train up young talent for the world of work. The goal is to make sure *anyone* can be confident starting their career no matter what barriers they’ve faced.

Our first 80-strong flock of young talent have just flown the coop after 8 weeks of learning and doing. But this cohort is only the first of bucketloads to come. Watch this space: by 2030, we want a third of our UK workforce to be home-grown through Hatch.

If you are traveling by public transport from Ilford station, you can take the 366 bus towards Redbridge and get off at the High Road/Beal Road stop. From there, walk south on High Road for about 2 minutes to reach the chicken shop.

For the chicken restaurant and fast food restaurant, you can take the 123 bus towards Wood Green or the W19 bus towards Walthamstow Central from Ilford station and get off at the High Road/Tesco stop. The restaurants are located on the east side of High Road and can be reached by walking south for about 3 minutes.

If you are driving, there is limited street parking available along High Road. Alternatively, there is a pay-and-display car park located behind Tesco Express which is a short walk away from all three locations.
