Every cake teaches you something. This one taught us a lot. 🤍
Jonny knew exactly what he wanted, a huge cake covered fully in feet. His family came in and together we worked out what was possible within the budget. Four handmade fondant feet, white cake with gold details to break the white finish.
Our decorator made this cake twice. The fondant kept collapsing, but she didn’t stop until it was right. Behind every cake that leaves this boutique is a real person, hands that have been working since early morning, eyes that check every detail, a heart that genuinely cares whether you love it.
At collection they loved it. Then Jonny saw the AI-generated image he had in his mind, hundreds of feet, and for him, the gap between that vision and reality was too big to bridge. What followed was difficult, but we still chose to do the right thing and let them keep the cake.
Because that is who we are.
But here is what we want every customer to know. AI images are not real cakes. They are not a brief. They are a fantasy that no human hands can fully replicate. Behind your cake is a real person pouring real effort, real skill and real love into every detail. Please treat them with the kindness and respect they deserve.
If your loved one has a very specific vision and you know it goes beyond the budget, have that conversation with them first. If you know an image isn’t real, let them know. Also, if you have specific requirements, share them in clear detail. Please do not assume we know. Come to us early and let us have an honest conversation. We will always give you everything we have.

Not a single month goes by without a Lightning McQueen cake leaving Glutopia 🏎️🔴
Lorcan’s fourth and this one came loaded. Chocolate sponge and enough chocolate cream filling to make the whole party very happy. Fully gluten-free and nut-free.

Glutopia Cake Boutique is proud to be part of “Celebrate Independent Business 2026” by Kingston upon Thames initiative running 27 June to 12 July, championing the small businesses that make this town worth coming back to.
We’re a small, independent, gluten-free and nut-free cake boutique. Every cake, every cupcake, every treat, every order is made with care for people who deserve to celebrate without compromise.
