Anatolian Grunge & Blues strikes again! By overwhelming demand, Salih Korkut Peker (SKP) is returning to the stage for Event #3 of his electrifying one-man live looping show.
Get ready for an high-energy night where grunge, blues, rebetiko, and Anatolian-Balkan folk collide. SKP loops raw riffs, original tracks, and reinvented rock classics live using his signature hybrid instruments: the cümbüş (a 95-year-old banjo-oud fusion) and the çağlama (a saz powered by hard-tension guitar strings).

Expect everything from original tracks and traditional Anatolian-Balkan songs to reimagined grunge classics all played on his distinct hybrid instruments: the cümbüş (a 95-year-old banjo-oud mix) and the çağlama (hard tension guitar strings on a saz body).

Anatolian Grunge & Blues
Salih Korkut Peker (SKP), combines many different genres in his music;
from grunge to blues, from
rebetiko to Anatolian folk. He uses new generation hybrid
instruments: cümbüş (a 95 years old invention, a
mix of banjo and oud) and çağlama (hard
tension guitar strings on saz body) in his “one man live looping” performance.
Besides his songs, SKP plays traditional songs from Anatolia-Balkans and some grunge classics, in his own special way!

Take the Overground to Dalston Junction station. From there, walk south-east on Dalston Ln towards Kingsland Rd. Continue onto Kingsland High St and the café will be on your right.
Option 2 - Driving/Parking:
Drive along the A10 towards Dalston and turn onto Ridley Road. At the end of Ridley Road, turn right onto Kingsland Road and then take the first left onto Sandringham Road. The café is at the end of Sandringham road. Limited street parking is available in the area, but there is also a paid car park located on Sandringham Road just before you reach the café.
