Let’s talk about skins… we’re now listing these three contrasting expressions of skin contact wines and they are really worth checking out.
Ninfa del Nera Grechetto/Malvasia, Umbria, 2021; crunchy minerality with hints of honey, pear and citrus. Perfect for a sunny afternoon. And we’re serving by the glass.
Sigurd field blend (Semillon predominant), South Australia, 2020; the wine making wizards at Sigurd have done it again with this intricate blend showing off tastjng notes of lemon sorbet, peaches and white pepper. You’ve not had skin contact wine like this before.
Perusini Pinot Grigio Ramato, Fruili, 2021; with a striking copper colour in the glass and delivering big strawberry notes and tropical aromas, this wine definitely flirts with the idea of being a rosè and shows why the Ramato or “copper” style may just be the very expression of PG!
