Good morning everyone,
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing that Grounded will be closing at the end of April.
Put simply—despite building a strong, loved business here, the new lease comes with a 60% rent increase. Alongside the ongoing rise in costs facing small businesses, it’s just not sustainable for us to continue.
Many of you know the business was under offer, but unfortunately the buyer didn’t meet the landlord’s requirements, so that hasn’t been able to go ahead.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built at Grounded. The community, the conversations, the people—it’s been everything. Hayes has given us so much, and I’ll genuinely miss being part of it.
While I’m stepping away from the café, our catering and events side of the business is growing quickly and now needs my full focus—so this isn’t the end, just a shift.
If anyone is interested in taking on the space and continuing it as a café (under their own brand), feel free to message me and I can point you in the right direction.
In the meantime, we’re here until the end of the month—so please do come in, grab a final latte, an almond croissant, and say goodbye.
And if you ever need catering or events support, I’d love to hear from you.

Happy Christmas to our wonderful local community! We hope it’s been festive, restful, and filled with love. We’ve enjoyed a well-deserved break over the last couple of days, but we’ll be back open tomorrow with the coffee machine on and the almond croissants flowing.
Our opening hours are below — the kitchen will be fully open every day, and we’d love to welcome you before the New Year.

Up to three children under 10 can enjoy a meal for just £1 each with every full-paying adult.

Located at Station Approach in Hayes, this restaurant is easily accessible by public transport or car. If traveling by public transport, take the train to Hayes station and exit towards Station Road. Walk straight down the road until you reach Station Approach. Alternatively, several bus lines stop nearby on Station Road.
If driving, take the A312 towards Hayes and turn onto Station Road. Follow the road until you reach Station Approach. Limited street parking is available in the area, but there is also a pay-and-display car park close by on Pump Lane.

Grounded London is a bakery and brunch restaurant located in Station Approach, Hayes that offers a delectable range of dishes and treats. Their individual dessert pots are a must-try, with options like Bramley apple crumble with crème anglaise, Belgian chocolate brownie with king cherries and berry compote, Eton mess with Cornish clotted cream, and Sicilian lemon drizzle cake with lemon curd and whipped ricotta. They also offer sumptuous personalised graze boxes for Father's Day, featuring the BEST OF BRITISH or MEDITERRANEAN GRAZE options that include British cheese, hand-made baby quiche, Mediterranean charcuterie, burrata and slow-roasted Spanish baby tomatoes, nocerella olives and feta stuffed baby peppers, paprika corn, pistachios and Tarallini olive oil biscuits.
