Yesterday, we said a fond farewell to our Assistant Manager, Hugo!🥲👋🏻
Hugo joined the H&G in September 2024 after transferring from the Queens Arms in Barnet, and in that time, he’s become an integral part of the team!💂♂️💂♀️
After years of hard work and steadily rising through the ranks, he’s now moving on to take the reigns as General Manager of our sister pub, the White Hart in Whitechapel — an exciting and well-deserved next step! He’s not going too far though, so you can still pop by and say hello!🙏🏻🍻
We’ll truly miss his charm, his quick wit that could lift anyone’s spirits, and above all, his unwavering support, leadership, and ability to run a brilliant shift while bringing out the best in those around him!🙌🏻💯
Best of luck, Hugo — you’re going to smash it! Don’t be a stranger!!❤️😅

Luisa joined us from The Spice of Life a little while back, and is now one of our amazing Assistant Managers here at the H&G! She’s been part of the Mac’s family for an incredible 4 years and 10 months! 🫨🙌🏻👏🏻
With plenty of experience in fast-paced environments, Luisa keeps her cool and always delivers fantastic service — all with a smile on her face! 🤗😅
She’s passionate about training others and developing her own skills. Most recently, she supported our sister pub, The Traitors Gate, where she did an absolutely fantastic job! 👏🏻👏🏻
