Turkey Tips
Expert advice to eat safe at home
Cristina Keemer, Head Chef at 5-star hygiene rated restaurant Dorothy and Marshall, located at the beautiful historical and newly renovated Old Town Hall, demonstrates taking the temperature of a turkey to ensure it is cooked through.
You can use a meat thermometer at home, placing it in the innermost part of the thigh and the thickest part of the breast.
Look for a temperature of 75 degrees C in both for a safe, moist turkey. Or if you dont have uices run clear with no traces of
a special thermometer, stick a skewer into the thickest parts of the breast and leg, and if the juices run clear with no traces of pink, it's ready.
